2026-2027 AJHS Supply List

The AJHS recommended supply list includes supplies that most students will need for their core classes. Additional supplies may be recommended for elective courses; teachers will share that information at Meet Your Teacher and through ParentSquare as soon as they are able to. The Alabama School Tax Holiday is July 17-19, 2026. More information about eligibility can be found here.
Recommended Supplies
- 3-ring binders
- Loose leaf Notebook paper
- Folders with pockets
- Colored pencils
- Fine tipped markers or colored ink pens
- School scissors
- Highlighters
- Pencils
- Black/blue pens
- Index cards
- Ear buds (optional but recommended)--must be wired. iPads have USB-C ports, or if you have headphones with a classic headphone jack you could get a USB-C adapter.
- Stylus (optional but recommended; can be inexpensive generic stylus, 1st Gen Apple pencil with a USB-C charging adapter, or an Apple Pencil USB-C--the iPads are iPad Air 11th Gen)
- 2 composition notebooks (9th English courses)
- Calculator
- Scientific calculator (8th grade Math courses)
- For 9th Geometry with Lab – TI-36X Pro or comparable scientific recommended.
- For 9th Geometry, Algebra I, & Algebra 2 – TI-84 or comparable grapher recommended.
- NOTE: If you purchase your calculator new, do not open it until your teacher checks it on the first day of class.
- Construction set (9th grade Geometry only) – compass, protractor, etc.
